About The Black Mom Ish Foundation
At The Black Mom Ish Foundation, our vision is to create a world where every Black mother has access to the resources, support, and opportunities she needs to thrive—regardless of her circumstances. We work to dismantle systemic barriers to health, wellness, and financial empowerment, focusing on underserved communities in areas like Chatham, Auburn Gresham, North Lawndale, and Chicago’s south suburbs. Through advocacy, education, and direct services, we uplift the voices of Black mothers, ensuring they and their families can live healthy, fulfilling lives.
